Low tech: Visual timers, help to show the student how much time they have left to finish an activity or for practicing a skill the visual timer gives the student the chance to look at the timer and keep track of how long he or she has left. the downside to this is that it could cause the child to continue to keep checking the time they have left rather than get work down.
Mid tech: Reading pens- allow the student to read a text or story with out help from a parent or teacher. this pen is great when the student need to read on their own it allow for the child to feel independent. the downside to this device is that it may be too loud for quite reading time.
High tech: an Ipad or tablet it a great device for these students allowing them to access information and knowledge they were not able to before. the downside is that this device is something other students may think is just a toy to play with, and that child could use to to play games on it.
