Orthopedic impairment
Low tech: Pencil grips, if the student has some mobility but does not have great fine motor skills allows the student to use their hand to write with a grip the forces them to hold the pencil correctly. the con to this device is that is can easily be lost or used as a projectile with some students depending on the classroom.
Mid tech: a slanted desk is great for students who have a hard time being able to move their body in the correct way to be able to write something down or to be able to do an activity. the con of this one is that it may be hard to organize the classroom if it does not fit nicely with the other desk and if the classroom is small it could be hard to find the right place to put the desk
High tech: a stander the stander it a device that allows the students to stand up safely without support of a parent or teacher after sitting for a while in their wheelchair, the stander allows the child to stretch out their muscle that do not have that opportunity while they are sitting down in their chair. the con of this is finding a place to keep the stander in a safe place where it wont be in the way and the other students wont touch it or when the student is in the stander where it should be placed so that other students wont hit it or trip on it due to placement.
